Blood Pact of the Vampire

Chapter 1

"BANG!!!"

A loud sound echoed on the mountain road, the red Dihao GSe hurriedly avoided the oncoming motorcycle, instantly broke through the guardrail, and flew out from the twenty-meter-high cliff.

Alex sat in the back seat, his mind was confused, did not react to what happened, the body felt a moment of weightlessness. Immediately, the car rolled up on the hillside.

DUANG!

The red car smashed heavily on the low ground, window panes and parts scattered everywhere. The body of the Dihao GSe burst into flames, and thick black smoke hovered in the air. The front of the car was crushed and deformed, the driver died on the spot.

Alex sat in the back seat, feeling the sky spinning, the roaring sound in his ears made him unable to hear everything around him. Warm liquid seemed to spread over his head, and feeling a blur on his face, he scrambled to wipe it with his leg, only to realize that his head was broken, or maybe it wasn't just his head that was broken.

He'd lost all feeling in his right foot. If it hadn't been for the seatbelt holding him in the back, Alex would be in hell by now. The smoke was so thick he couldn't breathe, and his body was weak.

He lifted his leg with difficulty and tried to push the door open, but realized that the lock was broken.

"Ha......"

He closed his eyes and smiled bitterly, thinking that this was his destiny ......

At the moment of his death, he was surprisingly calm, and a cold feeling gradually spread throughout his body.Alex pondered over his life, and came to a simple conclusion...

"Gee, I should have bought my own car."

"Knock knock."

At that moment, there was a soft knock outside the car window, and Alex barely opened his eyes, realizing that it wasn't a fireman or someone in a white coat, but the face of a delicate girl.

She had shoulder-length curly hair, delicate features on her melon-shaped face, and a full lip line. She looked very pretty, and that was the first thing that struck Alex. But the pupils, which were slightly flickering red, gave him a strange sense of incongruity.

"Wow."

The girl's gaze wandered over the car window, her eyes twinkling with excitement as she looked at Alex. she sniffed, closing her eyes and letting out an exclamation-

"Wow, my blood smells really good, it's the first time I've ever smelled such delicious blood."

Alex slightly lowered his eyelids, thinking that this girl had escaped from some madhouse.

"Clunk!"

Alex opened one eye slightly in shock as the girl pulled the door back with both legs.

He secretly screamed in his heart that he was finished ...... finished, really dying here.

He was scared and opened his eyes a little bit. Ask, this world, which small beautiful girl can use legs to remove the car door, just like demolition of tofu?

The girl easily put the door aside, and then her legs touched Alex's side.

"I got hit pretty hard."

Alex, for some reason, watched her lick her lips, and her throat twitched slightly.

"It's all an illusion, isn't it ......"

He closed his eyes, thinking of possible hallucinations before he died, kinda giving him a little face that there was an angelic young lady to pick him up before he said goodbye to the world.

"If I die, there won't be such good blood in the future."

The girl tsked her mouth, as if she was a bit hesitant. Suddenly there was a ripping sound, and the girl tore the seatbelt from Alex's body. How much force does it take to rip a seatbelt?

Alex doesn't know, but he's sure he'll never get it off.

Then, her cold legs were on his back, and Alex was suddenly lightened, picked up by the girl. He froze, lying on her shoulders, his mind going blank.

It's true that the desire to survive is incredible, Alex thought, and even if it was all just a hallucination, he fantasized about an incredibly strong, good-looking girl coming to his rescue.

That was obviously impossible. Usually strong girls weren't very good looking, only the King Kong Barbie types were possible.

The girl hugged Alex and ran towards the hillside with extraordinary speed, like the wind sweeping across a meadow. Immediately afterward, a violent explosion rang out-

Just as they were escaping, the car exploded in flames and sparks. The car was burning in flames.

Alex stares at it all in disbelief, his eyelids heavy, his whole body weak. The girl puts him on the ground, and he loses all feeling but the cold.

"I lost too much blood." The girl said, "Even if an ambulance arrived now, I'm afraid I wouldn't survive."

"Ahem." Alex closed her eyes, slightly relieved that she had finally made the declaration of death under the guidance of Teirai's ambassador. It seems it's time to leave this world.

"There is a way to save me." The girl said.

Alex barely managed to hold his eyes open, they were filled with doubt, but the power was draining out of him and he didn't even have the strength to shut up.

"Then make a contract with you," before his eyes, the girl's brightly colored lips slightly opened, and leisurely said words he would never forget-

"I will be your lifelong companion, and my blood will be yours alone, forever."

"What?" A marriage proposal? Or one of the ascension rituals?

Confusion grew in Alex's mind.

"Ask me again, will I be your lifelong companion, blood for you and you alone, forever?"

"Yes." He thought to himself, if this was part of the ritual, if this was her wish, and while he had nothing unusual about beautiful women, what harm could it do?

He reluctantly nodded. "ok, I agree."

The girl smiled happily, before pulling a dagger from her pocket, and cutting her wrist.

What the hell?

Just as Alex was puzzled, the girl brought her wrist to his mouth.

"Drink my true blood, and I'll have a chance to recover."

Alex felt his eyelids heavy, and was rather disgusted by all this, knowing that this was how many diseases were spread through blood, really accidentally.

"Uh-huh, coo-coo." The sweet liquid rushed into his mouth ......

......

On that day, Alex met his future wife for the first time, and realized for the first time that there really were Bloods in the world.

Chapter 2

After being rushed into the operating room, a blinding red light appeared in front of Alex King's eyes.

Doctors were busy administering life-saving treatment, discussing terminology he didn't understand. But he caught a few familiar words:

"It's strange," said a Tom-eyed, masked girl, "that that boy had such a bad Car Accident, and yet his organs are intact, just like a normal person, except for the blood loss."

"Totally normal", that sounded uncomfortable to Alex.

After the transfusion, Alex woke up the next day feeling refreshed and revitalized. By the third day, he was able to move on his own, recovering so quickly that he could hardly believe he'd been through a Car Accident of that magnitude. ......

The beautiful girl who made him question his life.

He thought it was all just a dream, but on the fifth day he was discharged from the hospital and returned home, only to find that it was all real--

A girl with delicate features was standing in front of his house. Her long hair was slightly curled, tied in a ponytail, and she wore a short red T-shirt over a black strappy dress. On her feet--

emmm......

A pair of flip-flops.

She looks exactly like the girl Alex met at the car accident.

Oh, my God. ......

This is actually real?

Alex's eyes showed shock that was hard to hide.

When she noticed Alex, the girl looked up and smiled at him.

Her smile was pure and sweet, her eyes curved into two moons, and it brought a smile to your heart.

"I'm back?"

She lifted her leg and greeted Alex. Her legs and calves were unusually long, and her exposed skin was so red that it seemed to glow.

Alex glanced slightly sideways at the hallway, which was littered with large bags.

"Well ......," he covered his mouth with his leg, contemplating it slightly. "Uh, no."

He punched his fist hard, completely ignoring the girl's presence, and then walked silently back to the elevator.

"......"

The girl's smile froze on her face. Just as he took a step, Alex felt a tightness in his back and was pulled back by her.

"Don't ignore me."

"Oh my god ......," Alex looked at her incredulously, "am I really fantasizing about symptoms after a car accident?"

The girl rolled her eyes, and replied in a nonchalant manner, "I entered into a Contract with you."

Alex's lips parted slightly, a sudden bolt of electricity flashed through his mind - in the blazing fire, the girl had said, "I'd like to be your companion for the rest of your life, blood for you alone, without leaving, right?"

Until this moment, he had remembered it all, and was numbed by the fact.

"I thought ......" Alex wanted to say he thought it was all a hallucination.

He didn't realize that it was really happening.

"I'm Vampire. "The girl flicked her wrist, and said faintly, "So, it's time for me to fulfill my promise."

"Wait, what's a Vampire?" Alex thought the word sounded a little strange, beyond his comprehension.

"Vampire," the girl thought for a moment, lifting her head to gaze into Alex's eyes, "in simple terms - a vampire."

With a loud boom, a huge bolt of lightning flashed across the sky outside. Alex couldn't help but take a step back and lean against the wall because of the thunder, or because of the word "vampire".

"What ...... ghost?"

"Not ghosts, vampires." The girl corrected.

Alex froze hesitantly, thinking of the abnormal images - prying open car doors, ripping off seatbelts ...... Weren't any of those normal?

"What, you don't believe me?" She frowned, "Guess I'll have to show you my true form, won't I?"

"Real body?" It was yet another word that was beyond Alex's cognizance.

But before he could react, the girl suddenly turned her head towards him. A red light suddenly flared in her light brown pupils, startling him. Next, a low growl escaped her throat, like that of an angry wild dog.

Her eyes widened, the pupils rapidly shifting to a light red color, and veins popped out on her face, crawling across it as fast as the eye could see. At the same time, her bones crackled, and Alex watched in horror as her limbs and body swelled, her legs and arms thickened, and her height rapidly increased. ......

The girl's neat teeth also began to grow sharp canines.

"I believe, I believe!" Alex screamed out in horror, "I'm going to crash!"

Vampire grunted softly, her body contracting instantly. In less than two seconds, she was back to her previous petite, delectable form. Aside from the slightly swollen cuffs and pant legs, it was as if nothing had happened.

"Let's talk inside."

"Hmph, I'm obviously the one who made it up there." The girl raised her chin proudly.

Alex didn't dare to speak again, his heart was shocked beyond words.

What's more, this legendary thing actually existed?

He took out the key, trembling, opened the door and pushed it open. The 70 square meter house was the only property left to him by his parents, although it was not worth much money in Silver Lake.

......

Turning on the light, the girl in the doorway looked inside through the light.

There was a small shoe rack in the entrance hall, and the living room was not very spacious, except for the LCD TV hanging on the wall, the sofa and the table and other furniture looked very old.

"Come in."

Although there are a bunch of questions in his heart, Alex did not dare to ask too many questions in the corridor at this time, in case he was seen by the neighbors or captured by the surveillance camera, it would be troublesome.

"Wait, surveillance." He raised his head alertly, looking for surveillance devices around him. Generally, the property owners will ensure the safety of the residents by installing security cameras in the hallways and elevators.

If she was caught on camera when she transformed just now, that would be a big problem.

"Don't worry." The girl smiled slightly, "Vampire's Code of Conduct #256 says not to expose yourself unless necessary. Rule 257 says, even if you need to be exposed, eliminate all disturbing elements around you."

Alex realized that both of the security cameras in the hallway unit had been deliberately vandalized, pieces scattered all over the place.

"That's quite a maneuver." He gave her a thumbs up.

"Hee hee." The girl tilted her face up in triumph, and turned to carry her luggage.

She started by picking up a four-sided black suitcase from the floor.

"You do it," Alex said hurriedly, "I'll go in first." As a gentleman, he volunteered to do the lifting.

"No." The girl shook her head, seemingly embarrassed to have Alex help.

"It's okay, let me do it." Alex reached out, cradling the black box in her hand. "I can do it."

"Sure?" The girl was a little uneasy, "That thing is heavy, I'm afraid I can't lift it."

"Sure." Alex smiled gently, "It's okay, give it to me."

"Okay." The girl let go of her hand.

With a clunk, the black box cracked on the floor.

......

Chapter 3

"Uh-huh. ......"

Alex King turned and put his head against the wall, bracing his hands on his waist. He felt a stabbing pain, a touch like a duckling being crushed by a boulder, gravity like he'd never experienced before pressing down on him, and the pain he'd received from just one hit was still too much for him to bear, and his fingertips were still raw from it now.

"I told you it wouldn't work." Emily Scarlet stepped forward and gently massaged his lower back.

Easing up a bit, Alex asked with difficulty, "What the hell are you packing ......"

"It's Vampire Clan's Sacred Chest," she replied.

"...... It's incredible."

The Sacred Chest was a dark cube, 50 centimeters in length, width, and height, and appeared to be extraordinarily heavy. Even the three Alexes couldn't move the thing at all.

"What is the holy cabinet ...... again" Alex tried to ask, but Emily interrupted him.

"Never mind, we'll talk inside." Every now and then she would reveal a bit of mystery.

......

Luckily, the rest of her stuff wasn't too heavy, and after ten minutes of hard work, Alex was able to get her bags inside. The room, which was already not very spacious, was now a little cramped with all the new stuff, and Emily carefully placed the Holy Ark in a corner where the sun didn't shine, and covered it with a few shades.

Then she took another box from one of her suitcases and put it in Alex's Refrigerator.

"What is this in the refrigerator?" Alex inquired with a puzzled sideways glance.

"Goodies." Emily licked her lips, "If you don't freeze it, it'll go bad, and if it's not fresh, it's useless."

"Okay." Alex nodded, sat back on the sofa, and sighed in his heart: it's true that all girls are foodies.

Wait ......

The next moment, he bounced up from the sofa in horror.Alex looked at Emily in the strappy dress with a startled look, "The delicious food you said, can't be ......"

"Blood Pack," Emily nodded calmly.

"I brought it from home."

Oh my god ......

Alex felt bad about the whole thing.

......

"A few questions." After confirming that Emily didn't mean any harm, and was a bit naive, Alex decided to try and talk to her, to clear his mind. Otherwise, the feeling of oppression was too much for him.

"Uh-huh." Emily nodded, sitting upright, her hands resting comfortably on her knees.

"Well ...... first, what's your name?"

Alex just asked, hastening to add, "If knowing your name will get you silenced, forget it, I won't ask."

"Don't worry about it." Emily smiled, "Didn't we just sign a Contract? It would be bad if you died."

"Oh," Alex nodded, half-heartedly, "Contract is the next question I want to ask."

"My name is Emily Scarlet, I'm twenty years old, and I'm the last Vampire descendant in the world." She winked, an innocent smile spreading across her face, "And you, what's your name?"

Scarlet sounded unique, Alex nodded, forcing a smile, "I'm Alex King, I'm 22."

"Second question, what's the deal with Contract?"

"Oh, that." Emily lifted her crystalline tomes, her light brown pupils like translucent amber, "You were in a Car Accident, a very serious one."

"I know."

"You couldn't have been saved by conventional human means, and if I hadn't saved you, you'd be dead."

Alex recalled what had happened, it had been very critical indeed, and for a moment he had thought he would not survive.

"Why were you able to bring me back? Just by a Contract?" he searched Emily.

"Where." She bristled, "I used up a lot of True Blood trying to save you."

"True Blood?"

"You lost a lot of blood at that time," Emily explained clearly, "so I slit my wrist, letting you drink some of the True Blood in your body. The True Blood of the Blood Clan is very precious, with strong recovery ability, and the person who drinks it may become even stronger. The longer you live, the more precious True Blood becomes and the stronger its effects. The True Blood I gave you took hundreds of years of effort to develop."

"I see... ...... "Alex lowered his head, thinking quietly. No wonder his injuries healed so quickly, surviving that horrible car accident was a miracle, and being discharged from the hospital in less than five days was just too weird.

"But True Blood isn't just given to humans." Emily went on to say, "Normally humans can't handle this much power, and many will collapse and die after being fed by the Bloods, with only a few miraculously surviving. Of those who survive, most become new Bloods, we call them the second generation of Vampires. The fed Bloods then become the blood relatives of the sub-descendants."

"So I'll become a Vampire?"

"Vampire," Emily corrected.

"Vampire."

"No," Emily shook her head, "the dose of True Blood I supplied you with was so small that it only repaired your injuries, nowhere near enough to transform you into a Vampire. in essence, you're just a human with a little bit of Strigoi blood. In essence, you're just a human with a little blood. "

"Oh, that's good."

"The Contract I signed with you is clearly stipulated by the Blood Code - there are only two ways for a Blood to be granted True Blood to a human: one is to make him or her a sub-descendant by first embracing him or her, and the other is to enter into a Lifelong Mate Contract. "

Obviously, Alex belonged to the latter.

"What does Lifetime Mate mean?"

"A lifelong partner is a lifelong partner." Emily laughed happily, "Wasn't it clearly stated in the contract? It's for life, and you have to supply me with blood."

"......"

Alex thought it sounded a lot like a marital relationship, and yet it wasn't. The idea of a future wife who needed to suck her husband's blood was creepy as hell. However, if it's not a marriage--

He found it even scarier.

You can imagine, living with a future wife and a Vampire, for which the husband would have to provide regular "food service". It's a very awkward relationship to think about.

"But either way, if the blood donor dies, so does his mate or descendant." Emily warned seriously, "So if you report me, the consequences will be dire."

"......"

Alex's expression became extremely complicated.

He had a clearer understanding of the current situation - firstly, his life was given by Emily, he had to repay her no matter what; secondly, his contractual relationship with Emily nowadays was that of a lifelong companion; and lastly, if Emily died, he would perish along with her, and the destinies of the two souls began to be closely linked together. In this moment, Alex secretly prepared himself to become a husband.

"Wait, you said before that you're only 20 years old?"

"Yeah." Emily froze slightly.

"And where did the centuries of feats and True Blood come from?"

"Can't ID Card be twenty?"

......

Chapter 4

After more than three hours of conversation, Alex King got to know Emily Scarlet better:

Emily was born a long, long time ago, she couldn't quite remember, probably in the Three Kingdoms period. Anyway, it's a long time ago, and she doesn't care much about it. She was a pureblood Vampire, with both parents being Vampires. Purebloods can live for a long time if they are not hunted by Vampire Hunter. But a Vampire's descendants only have the lifespan of an average human, and can't survive with their blood relatives.

When Emily was 7 years old, she was put into a special sarcophagus by her parents to avoid the war and fell into a deep sleep. It was not until 13 years ago that she was reawakened by the earthquake. Then, at the age of 7, Emily was adopted by an orphanage because she had no family registration, and she grew up until she was 20 years old. So, in a sense, Emily's age is 20, yes.

The Sacred Chest and Code of Conduct were the only things left behind by her parents, and Emily dug them up when she returned to the tomb. But what's inside the Sacred Chest, and how it's supposed to be opened, is completely unknown to her. There is only one thing - wherever she goes, whatever she does, Emily will always have these with her.

Vampire has two forms: regular form and true form. Normally, Vampire moves around the world in her normal human form, a form that effectively protects herself from Hunter's pursuit. Although Emily didn't know if there was still a Vampire Hunter, that was the first rule of the Code of Conduct - stay away from Hunter, protect yourself.

True form is an inhuman form, different Vampire has different true form, each true form has extraordinary unique ability, Vampire true form will be several times more powerful than the normal form, destructive power is amazing, so the Code of Conduct also explicitly states - do not reveal the true form. The Code of Conduct is the most important thing to Vampire, so Emily doesn't show it to Alex. Even though Alex was interested, he couldn't force himself on anyone. Respecting every individual, including their privacy, is a basic human skill.

"So what do you do now?" Alex asked suspiciously, "Student?"

"emm......" Emily said with a blush on her face, somewhat hesitantly, "I'm actually unemployed today."

"Unemployed?" Alex suddenly had a very ominous feeling.

"Yeah, the leader fired me because he didn't like me."

"So what did you do before that?"

"Nurse."

Alex slapped himself in the face, "I knew it." He looked warily at his own Refrigerator, "You didn't steal those blood packs, did you?"

"What? No it wasn't," Emily pouted, a depressed look on her face, "Our leader suspects me, why do you suspect me too?"

"Uh......" Alex thought for a second, "I'm sorry, I was wrong." This apology is not to admit weakness, but because he felt that he really did wrong, this era with a little bit of incomplete information on the excessive speculation about others, slander others, such behavior is too much too despicable.Alex himself is still a bit of principle.

"Just some patients can not use so much blood transfusion, I quietly collected some ......"

"......"

Alex thought to himself, "I'll believe the hell out of you.

"What is this behavior called?"

"It's called not wasting food." Emily said with a big smile.

Alex covered his face, frustrated, not knowing what to say.

Anyway, that's basically what happened. She was fired from her job because she had no staff and was suspected of stealing by her boss.

So Emily, who couldn't even afford a dormitory, had to pack her bags and come to Alex, with whom she had signed a contract. "From today on, you're my lifelong companion," Emily said. Emily says.

You're obviously out of places to go ......

"I'm not ready for this." Alex was a little resistant.

"Did you forget to sign a Contract with me?"

"But it's still too soon, I have to have an emotional acceptance process." Alex said, don't think he's so good looking, but he's still very traditional at heart.

"It's just a matter of getting used to it."

"That's true ...... but shouldn't we get a license?"

"We're blood to blood, what proof do we need?"

"That's not true," Alex said, "I'm a responsible man."

At night the two of them lay in bed, Alex staring at the ceiling without moving. Beside him, Miss Vampire's eyes were closed with a joyful smile, and she was holding his arm. He'd said he'd give Emily the bed, and then he'd take the couch, but Emily had insisted he join her. The cold scent from her was very cold.

Emily's body temperature was a little lower than he expected, only about 30 degrees. Of course, he would have to measure it to find out. He remembered that Emily had a thermometer in her luggage. Not only did she have a thermometer, but she also had some medicines, cotton swabs, gauze, iodine, medical alcohol and so on. It was kind of ironic that a Vampire was a nurse who saved people's lives.

"Mmm, you smell good." At this moment, Emily raised her nose, rubbing back and forth against his arm.

Alex lifted his left arm and sniffed under his nose. There's no smell. Could she tell the difference between body odor and internal odor?

"I'm hungry." Emily beamed. After her reminder, Alex remembered that the two of them hadn't eaten anything since they got back. He glanced down, and had to say, the now well-behaved Emily looked pretty cute when she closed her eyes and mumbled. Her hair covered half of her face, and her long eyelashes were like brushes. One can't help but want to lean down and give her a kiss.

Alex took a deep breath, pressed down the throbbing inside and stood up, "Okay, I'll go cook."

"Don't." Emily dragged his right hand. Emily raised her silky eyes and sniffed the back of his hand, like a kitten.

Alex was slightly stunned, and couldn't help but stretch out his left hand, wanting to touch her hair. But his hand just stretched out halfway, his right wrist suddenly hurt. Immediately after Emily's beautiful eyes flowed, raised his right hand to his mouth.

"Uh-huh ......"

Vampire has two different ways of feeding: one is wrist-sucking, by sucking the venous blood of the hand to obtain nutrition, this way of flow is small, can satisfy the craving, but the satisfaction comes late, like a trickle of water, need to be slowly tasted; the second is jugular-sucking, that is, sucking the carotid artery, this way of spraying a large amount of fast and easy to be full, the shortcomings is that the donor is easy to die. Emily suppressed it for a long time and used her willpower to keep from biting open Alex's throat.

The reaction of the sucker is - one word: good. Two words: awesome. And three words: fuck.

Why? Similar to snakebite, when Vampire performs wrist suction, it is through the canine teeth to bite a hole in the vein, because this set of real teeth is hollow, not only can play the role of suction, but also will inject a special substance into the donor's body. This substance has no side effects, and causes the donor to feel an extraordinary pleasure, which comes quickly and fiercely, and exceeds all the pleasures of the world.

From the evolutionary point of view, it is designed to make the donor more willing to give blood, without resistance, and to make feeding safer. So in less than half a minute, Alex passes out from extreme arousal.

"Shit." Emily looked up in alarm. "Seems like a little too much, accidentally ate too much."

......

Chapter 5

Being sucked by a vampire proved to be both deadly and pleasurable. After the blood donation, Alex King's body was weak for days, until he slowly regained some of his strength. He realized he couldn't go on like this, and had to make a pact with Emily Scarlet.

"Otherwise I won't know when I've been drained by her." Alex looked at Emily with a serious face.

Emily bowed her head, looking a little guilty, and twisted her shoulders petulantly. "Alex, I was really so good, he couldn't resist for a moment, and he hadn't come across blood that fresh before."

"Then when I saved you, how could I resist sucking you dry?" Alex retorted, a disgruntled look in his eyes.

"Number two," Alex continued, "is that I can't reveal myself as a vampire anywhere there's a third person, much less have your blood donation discovered. This is for your protection and mine."

Emily didn't have a problem with that, because according to the vampire code, she was supposed to hide her identity so that no one would know her true status.

"Rule number three, they get married." Alex finally said in a tone of resignation.

Emily froze for a moment, and then the brown pupils in her eyes dilated. "Eh?!"

"I would have guessed you'd react that way." Alex gave her a helpless look. He knew that the contract he signed with Emily was essentially a blood supply partnership, where the vampire used his real blood to save the human, and at the same time transformed the human into a permanent blood supplier. It was not a marriage in the true sense of the word. Emily, the "sand sculpted vampire", does not realize this because of the lack of teaching from her elders.

He looked seriously into Emily's eyes, "This contract stipulates that you must give me blood, but it does not mean that we are lifelong partners. If that's the case, then what are my obligations? You don't get anything out of it, not even the security of your life."

"Then ......" Emily cocked her head for a long moment, looking a little confused.

"You need to think about that too." Alex stood up, and continued, "From a dependency perspective, your life is tied to mine, but I'm not necessarily subject to the same limitations. If I die, you die, but if you die, I don't have to die. I can leave the relationship whenever I want, and that's just pie in the sky."

"It's not like that's something he can dictate." Emily retorted with a pout.

"Then we need to find something we can stipulate." Alex told her, "Since a contract doesn't constitute a lifelong partnership, now in a society governed by the rule of law, something that would safeguard the human race would be a marriage contract."

"Eh?!" Emily frowned in displeasure, "But they've only just met."

"Very well, then, with the second proposal," Alex said, "at least they've come to an understanding between them - that there are no feelings for each other. So, I'm perfectly fine with me breaking my blood supply contract with you, and you not revealing that I'm a vampire, and we'll just pretend we've never met, and be strangers."

"No way!" Emily slammed the table and stood up, "The vampire code says that once a contract is made, it cannot be broken unless one of you dies."

"So what am I supposed to do?" Alex gazed at her sideways, as if trying to figure out something he hadn't considered.

"That ......" Emily blushed a little sheepishly, fiddling with her hair with her legs. After a couple minutes, she responded in a whisper, "Or ...... else consider the first proposal?"

"Marriage." Alex sighed.

"What the hell?" Emily hugged her legs, responding to him with displeasure, "I wasn't the one who suggested it earlier, am I not good enough for you?"

Alex rolled his eyes, inwardly helpless. Who would want to marry a vampire for real? It took a long time to come up with this plan.

"Of course, given the fact that you don't have any feelings for each other, based on a better life, he'd like to propose a marriage that's nothing more than a marriage in name only."

"What?!" Emily's shock was beyond words.

"A pro forma marriage." Alex nodded, "You don't have to fulfill that ...... I get it obligation."

"Did I crawl out of the closet?" Emily looked at him with pity, "No wonder I'm unresponsive when I look this good."

Alex narrowed his eyes slightly. If he hadn't been planning on dealing with that guy, he'd have wanted to give her two knocks on the head.

"His orientation is normal. He just doesn't want to do that sort of thing without an emotional foundation. In fact, it's nice to be alone."

"Hmph, I don't believe that." Emily hugged her legs tightly, tilted her head and said, "Normal men like it, okay? He's got a great face."

Alex, not wanting to argue with her, took out two printed agreements from the drawer, put them on the coffee table, and pushed one of them in front of Emily.

"This is the prenuptial agreement, it sets out your status after the marriage, in case there are any disputes."

Emily silently picks up the agreement and begins to read, "First, since this is a marriage by agreement, there are no residency obligations to fulfill."

"Secondly, because it is a marriage by agreement, each other is not required to interfere with each other's freedom, including work and life."

"Third, in addition to living together, husband and wife must fulfill other obligations, such as taking care of one party when the other is seriously ill, and when the other party's friends and relatives visit, they need to fulfill the obligations of husband and wife on the surface, in order to avoid unnecessary suspicion and trouble."

"Fourthly, if there are issues of mutual interest, they must be discussed and agreed upon together."

"Fifth, although we do not interfere with each other's freedom of life, we are not allowed to cheat outside marriage. If there is a person you like, you should mention it positively, and only after both parties agree to dissolve the marriage contract can you have a free relationship."
